In December of 2007, Bridge worked with Allen & Overy LLP to develop and deliver a strategic-issues-based Leadership Forum focused on the Asia Pacific Region. This was the 17th programme in the A&O Leadership Forum series developed by Bridge and the first to take place in China (Shanghai). Over 40 senior partners and senior support staff leaders from Asia, the Middle East, Europe and headquarters in London participated in the event including the both the global senior partner and the global managing partner, and A&O's partner in charge of the Asia Pacific region.

The programme focused on raising awareness of the opportunities and challenges facing the firm in the region and globally. The programme used the latest academic theory and practical business experience to suggest how to take advantage of the opportunities and address the challenges. The agenda included topics on Asian economic markets and the implications for A&O, strategic options for growth, and advanced strategic client relationship skills.

Content was delivered by Professors from the Shanghai-based, China European International Business School, and Singapore-based, INSEAD Business School, together with the team from Bridge. The keynote speeches were given by a well-known and respected China-based business leader.

Participants were exposed to the latest business and legal trends in Asia as well as theory and best practices in the various subject areas. They were also challenged with a variety of learning exercises including proprietary scenarios and case studies.

The programme was recognised by firm leaders as being both highly informative and well aligned with the firm's broader strategy.
